Description:
Panobinostat, which is a potent histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitor, selectively targets tumor cells for cell death. In Phase 1 trials, panobinostat was highly active as a single agent treatment for several types of cancer, including multiple myeloma, Hodgkin’s lymphoma, acute myeloid leukemia, and prostate cancer. Additional clinical trials are currently underway to examine the efficacy and safety profile of panobinostat.
