Sid’s Muliple Myeloma Journey chronicles 62-year-old draughtsman Sidney Hider’s stories and thoughts about living with multiple myeloma over the past eight years. In this retrospective blog, compiled from dairies and memories, Hider relates his experiences with dealing with nausea, hair loss, difficult emotions, and more. Hider posts several times a month, giving a good picture of his day-to-day dealings with myeloma. He lives in Waitakere City, New Zealand with his wife, Myra.

When Dave was receiving treatment, Lori wrote about his treatments and her role in his recovery. Now that Dave is in remission, Lori continues to post most days about Dave’s health and how she copes with no longer being a caregiver.
Susie Hemingway
Susie writes poems dedicated to her husband Hamada, who has been living with multiple myeloma since 2006. She also occasionally posts the results of Hamada’s doctor’s visits. Living with Multiple Myeloma
Pat Killingsworth was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in April 2007. After being in remission for more than two years, Pat recently relapsed and has begun treatment again. Pat has dedicated his life to helping other cancer patients. He has written a book about his myeloma and visits multiple myeloma support groups around the country. He updates his blog daily with myeloma news, conference briefings, and clinical trial summaries.

Bob Kirkpatrick, a Vietnam veteran, started his blog in May 2008, shortly after being diagnosed with multiple myeloma. Lonnie Nesseler, 64-year old San Diego resident, was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 1998 and began his blog in January 2009. He writes about how being diagnosed has changed his outlook on life and chronicles his experience with drug resistance. The Beast is written by Teresa Krone, whose husband Richard passed away in early 2009 due to complications with multiple myeloma. Richard, who was diagnosed with myeloma in April 1999 at the age of 49, worked as a fifth grade teacher until his retirement in 2005.
