The Scoop on Dan
Dan Patterson, from Denver, was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in March 2005 and started The Scoop on Dan a few months later when he received a stem cell transplant. Dan recently received another stem cell transplant, this time with stem cells from his brother. He is showing improvement in his health. Dan updates his blog one or more times a week – even from his hospital bed. Many of his posts include detailed updates and changes in his cell counts and physical well-being.

Hello Dan,
I would love to hear about how you managed through your allogeneic stem cell transplant.
I’ve had two autos, I have therapy resistant myeloma. The doctors say this is my only chance of remission. I have ready so much on the allo, some things just scare me to death, all the possible complications. The long term recovery, etc.
Like I said I would love to hear about your experience.
Hope all is well with you today, Tricia Rainier
