Susie Hemingway
Susie writes poems dedicated to her husband Hamada, who has been living with multiple myeloma since 2006. She also occasionally posts the results of Hamada’s doctor’s visits. Plenty of pictures give readers a rich look into Susie and Hamada’s life and family together in Lincolnshire, UK. Susie Hemingway was featured in a BBC radio interview in May 2009.
The poems on “A Power Within” follow in diary form a chronicle of feelings on a week to week basis of living with Myeloma. The ups and downs of daily life are written as poems rather than text, some are very sad when times are bad and challenges must be faced but there is also much love and happiness in the entries and photos, as we make this journey together with Multiple Myeloma.
