We patients who have been helped by Velcade and other drugs and treatments know that the research that went before is how the drugs were developed. I am sorry that your husband did not have the benefits of that as well, but he must have helped in the development of new treatments by taking part in trials. I cannot begin to say thank you to Royal Marsden Sutton for their support and help in those eight years .. The aniversary of his Death is on Monday ..nine years have passed and I still miss him. I find comfort in reading about how Myeloma is now being treated and the success in prolonging peoples lives.. wish all people who have or had Myeloma a Happy Christmas and may 2012 be a good year for research .
