This is an excellent intro to MM for new patients! Can you add a bit about the significance of various chromosomal anomalies found with FISH and chromosomal bone marrow studies? In terms of etiology, what about an acute infection stimulating MGUS (precursor condition) to full blown MM? And common locations of plasmacytomas in the body. It is a fascinating condition for which immunotherapy and genetic engineering will one day become standard treatment over chemotherapy, I predict. Thank you!
