UK Myeloma Forum
The UK Myeloma Forum offers myeloma patients and families a chance to learn more about the disease through meetings, lectures, and clinical guidelines. The organization also provides a travel scholarship for key myeloma and haematology meetings.
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS)
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world’s largest voluntary health organization that is dedicated to finding the cure for blood cancers. The society also provides professional services, disease information, an advocacy group, and different chapters throughout the states for a more local patient service and support.
Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF)
The main objective of MMRF’s site is to fund research and provide education about myeloma, its treatments, and more. It lets the reader join the search for a cure through donations and fundraisers. MMRF also features a newsletter and holds Institutional Insights seminars for more information about multiple myeloma.
International Myeloma Foundation (IMF)
The IMF aims to improve the quality of life for myeloma patients through its interactive site. It offers support through hotlines, online groups, and sponsored events. The IMF also provides news about the latest treatment information, research, trials, and publications. Many of their resources are also available in multiple languages.
Ceská Myelomová Skupina – Czech Myeloma Group (CMG)
The CMG’s site focuses on keeping multiple myeloma patients and physicians updated with the most recent news and treatments in Czech Republic. It features the latest research, clinical trials, news, and activities to ensure that the best standard of care is met for patients. The site can be viewed in either Czech or English. Click on the flags in the right top-most corner of the site for the corresponding language.
International Myeloma Foundation (IMF) Latin America
La International Myeloma Foundation Latin America está aquí para ayudar a todos los que luchan contra el mieloma: pacientes, familiares, amigos, cuidadores y la comunidad médica y científica.
The IMF Latin America, a nonprofit foundation, offers the same information, news, and support on its interactive site as the original IMF. It’s offered in Spanish for the South American myeloma community.
Nordic Myeloma Study Group (NMSG)
The NMSG’s site conducts clinical studies and provides updates on myeloma diagnosis and treatment for relatives and patients. More basic information can be found on the left-hand column, from information on myeloma to reference programs. The site can be viewed in Norwegian, Danish, or Swedish. NMSG membership is offered for myeloma professionals.
Myeloma Euronet
Myeloma Euronet is a patient-friendly, non-profit network of multiple myeloma patient groups. Most of the site’s resources are aimed at providing patient support through events, a discussion forum, personal stories, and a link that allows members to find other members by region. The site stills works to raise awareness through its annual reports and informative brochures. The site can also be viewed in 13 different languages.
Myeloma Canada
Myeloma Canada is a non-profit organization created by, and for, people living with multiple myeloma. The site works with the Scientific Advisory Board and the IMF to provide information and support through a newsletter, myeloma handbook, and other publications.
Myeloma UK
As the only organization that deals exclusively with myeloma in the UK, Myeloma UK has a very broad range of services. It provides researching grants, holds fundraisers, educates with leaflets and hotlines, and offers support and information to patients and professionals.
