September 5 (Columbus, OH) – MoveMMORE Race For Multiple Myeloma Research

Serious runners, casual runners, walkers, and families are all welcome to participate in a 5k or 1 mile walk or run.  Proceeds will benefit the Multiple Myeloma Research Fund at The Ohio State University James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute. There will be music, food, awards, and prizes as well as technical race shirts for all registrants!

September 6 (Captiva Island and Ft. Myers, FL) – Labor Day Sail For The Cure

The South Seas Island Resort on Captiva Island and Pink Shell Resort in Ft. Myers have joined the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the Offshore Sailing School for a unique fundraising event in support of lymphoma, leukemia, and multiple myeloma research. A $25 donation provides one hour of sailing instruction on September 6.

September 8 (St. Louis, MO) – Clinical Insights Into Multiple Myeloma Education Session

Leading myeloma experts will discuss the latest advances in frontline therapy, stem cell transplant, relapsed/refractory disease, supportive care, and clinical trials. Lunch will be served, and a question and answer session will conclude the event. Registration begins at 10 a.m., and the workshop will go from 10:45 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Sept 11 (Chicago, IL) – Race For Research

Race For Research is a 5K walk/run to benefit the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF). This event will take place at Lincoln Park.

September 12 (Evanston, IL) – Chicago Blood Cancer Foundation’s “Out For Blood” Bike Ride To Cure Blood Cancer

The Chicago Blood Cancer Foundation is organizing a team for the North Shore Century Bike Ride at Evanston Township Highschool. All funds raised by Blood Cancer Foundation team members will directly support lymphoma, leukemia, and multiple myeloma research. Registration fees will be waived for the first 50 individuals who sign up to bike with the Foundation’s team.

September 12 (San Francisco, CA) – Miracle In The Park

A fundraising event for Team in Training, a division of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society that seeks to raise funds for blood cancer research will occur at the Lindley Meadows of the Golden Gate Park. Participants can celebrate health and the outdoors by picnicking and participating in yoga classes all while joining community members in support of blood cancer research.
